Carrying the Momentum Forward

Robert F. Murray
President
Tilt-Up Concrete Association

A month has passed since we gathered in Nashville, yet the conversations and connections from that week remain fresh in my mind. The Tilt-Up Convention and Expo has always been more than an event—it’s a reminder of what makes this community so exceptional. Year after year, I’m struck by the openness with which our members share their experiences and by the new ideas that emerge when people from every corner of the industry come together.

The energy in Nashville reflected both confidence and curiosity. We saw creativity in the field, thoughtful discussion in the classrooms, and collaboration in every corner of the Music City Center. Nowhere was that spirit more visible than in the Mock-Up Medley, where diverse teams worked side by side to bring ideas to life. It was a vivid demonstration of what happens when expertise, innovation, and teamwork intersect.

Looking back, what stands out most is not a single project or session, but the sense of momentum. The relationships formed, the lessons shared, and the challenges debated in Nashville are already influencing how we work and think. That is the lasting impact of our gatherings—they continue to move the industry forward long after the lights dim and the exhibits come down.

As we carry that momentum into the months ahead, I encourage all of us to keep the conversation going: Reach out to someone you met in Nashville, share what you learned with your teams, and find new ways to collaborate. The Tilt-Up Concrete Association exists to support that ongoing exchange—to ensure that the progress we make together continues to elevate our entire community.

Thank you for the work you do every day to advance tilt-up construction. I am proud to serve as your president and to represent an industry defined by innovation, integrity, and shared purpose.
