Tilt-Up Vibes Series Energizes Key Markets Across North America

Launched by the Tilt-Up Industry Leaders of Tomorrow (TILT), Tilt-Up Vibes is a new series of informal, high-energy gatherings designed to bring the TCA experience directly to active tilt-up markets across North America. Rather than formal programming, the events are intentionally structured as open, agenda-free spaces where professionals can connect through conversation.

With events already held in Vancouver, Houston, Salt Lake City, and Tampa, the response has been consistently strong. Each gathering—curated by local hosts and shaped by the character of its city—has drawn a cross-section of contractors, designers, engineers, suppliers, and emerging professionals. The emphasis has been on circulation and interaction rather than presentations, allowing participants to move freely between conversations and engage across firms, roles, and experience levels.

Attendees have pointed to the simplicity of the format as a defining strength. Conversations have ranged from regional market conditions and workforce challenges to project delivery approaches and shared lessons from recent work. While informal by design, these exchanges reflect the day-to-day realities of practice and the value of peer connection outside structured settings.

Several participants have noted that relationships formed or renewed at these gatherings have continued beyond the event itself, leading to follow-up conversations, collaborative opportunities, and deeper engagement within the broader tilt-up community.

“It’s been nice to get people together just for that,” said Mitch Bloomquist, executive director of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association. “No pitch, no program—just the community showing up for each other.”

The final stop in the 2025 Tilt-Up Vibes series is scheduled for this winter in Atlanta, continuing the experiment with a format that prioritizes presence, conversation, and professional connection.
