President
Tilt-Up Concrete Association

Some of the most impactful professional relationships in my life began at a Tilt-Up Concrete Association Convention. In fact, it was at past conventions that I first connected with several of the colleagues I now serve alongside on the TCA executive committee. What started as casual conversations between sessions or over a meal has grown into friendships and partnerships that continue to shape my career and this Association. While serving this year as president, I am especially mindful of the lasting influence these gatherings can have—not only on individuals, but on the direction of our entire industry.

Even decades into my career, I still find the convention both productive and renewing—an opportunity to reconnect with longtime colleagues, exchange ideas, and discover new perspectives from those just entering the field. Each year I leave energized, and reminded of how much stronger we are when we learn from one another.

Our theme for 2025, “Striking Harmony,” captures that truth. In Nashville, this vision will come to life through collaborative education sessions and the Mock-Up Medley, where teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers will work side by side to show what becomes possible when expertise overlaps and ideas are tested together.

But beyond the formal program, the convention’s true value lies in the countless informal moments—the introductions that spark partnerships, the candid conversations that lead to solutions, and the encouragement that helps a younger professional see their future more clearly. These are the experiences that strengthen our community and move our industry forward.

I invite you to join us in Nashville this October. Bring your questions, your experiences, and your willingness to both teach and learn. You may leave with a new solution, a new partnership, or perhaps the chance to influence the next generation of leaders. For me, that has always been the essence of this gathering, and I believe it will be for you as well.
