The Tilt-Up Convention and Expo stands as a testament to the profound impact of community in shaping the trajectory of our industry. In my role as the Executive Director of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, I have come to appreciate that the essence of this gathering transcends the conventional bounds of educational seminars, exhibition booths, and cocktail receptions. It is an embodiment of a vibrant, engaged, and deeply connected community, with each member playing an integral role in the collective journey towards excellence and innovation.

Reflecting on our recent event, it becomes abundantly clear that the greatest catalyst driving record attendance is in fact the community itself. The convention serves as a microcosm of our larger tilt-up family, providing a space for the convergence of diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise. It is within this crucible of shared knowledge and mutual support that the true magic of our community unfolds. The interactions, both formal and informal, spark a synergy that propels us forward, challenging the status quo and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

I wrote about this in particular after our virtual convention in 2020. The fundamental truth is that our community is the heartbeat of our association. It is the catalyst for growth, the source of inspiration, and the foundation upon which we build our future.
