Tilt-Up Education, Products and Technology

Español | Español | Translation Sponsored by TCA

The Tilt-Up Convention and Expo, presented by Brinkmann Constructors, Leviat and White Cap, delivers the most valuable education and technology that the industry has to offer. With the help of the local host committee, this year’s event presented record breaking attendance, a newly added education track presented in Spanish. In all, the event featured over 25 hours of tilt-up specific education.

Day 1 of education ranged from new technology that protects walls and allows safe carbon uptake, to Building Psychological Safety to Address Mental Health, and day 2 broke into two separate tracks; the Design Track, sponsored by Dayton Superior Corporation and Needham DBS, and the Construction Track, sponsored by IconX, LLC and Seretta Construction. The event ended with a conversation with the industry’s young talent on obstacles facing tomorrow’s leaders.

“I received some excellent insight into constructability and engineering that, as an architect, I had not received before,” said Chelsea Serrano-Piche of Powers Brown Architecture. “It was also helpful to hear about some of the social things that the construction industry is facing,” said Serrano-Piche. “Knowing that other people and companies are facing some of the same stresses helps normalize conversations about those things.”

In addition to the invaluable education offered at the event, the exhibit hall at the Tilt-Up Convention and Expo showcases the industry’s newest products and technology available today. These products provide means and methods to save time and money on (and even to improve the look of) their next projects. Companies represented in the exhibit hall assist in the advanced technological, design, and construction capabilities that are available today, and they play a vital role in the growth and development of the industry.

“I was able to reconnect with suppliers who I had met at previous events as well as meet new ones through contacts at this year’s event,” said Serrano-Piche.
