2022 Outdoor Demo

If you’re one of the many professionals who have been attending the Tilt-Up Convention and Expo over the years, you’ve most likely seen the Outdoor Demo advance in complexity and scale over time, and this year’s event, sponsored by White Cap and 3M, was no exception.

KB Concrete Systems and Brinkmann Constructors, with the help of several other companies, pulled out all the ropes for this year’s event, including the first-ever reveal of the tilt-up demo structure. The structure, a beautiful and bold tilt-up mountain range, set the scene while attendees enjoyed live music and ate and drank their way through the exhibits.

“The tilt-up mountain range was very fitting for this year’s outdoor demo,” said Cliff Saunders of GluDown, Inc. “It was the peak of excitement for all contractors and manufacturers who attended!”

The outdoor demo is all about showing off the latest and greatest tilt-up technologies, and there is no better way to learn about new tools, techniques, and products than to see them in action firsthand. With coordination from Cliff Saunders of GluDown, Inc., exhibitors allowed attendees to get an up-close look at new formliners, test out some new rebar tying tools, try a new adhesives product, and much more! Additionally, attendees were invited to get up close and personal with various heavy equipment used on today’s most demanding tilt-up jobsites.

“Overall, the demo day was a huge success,” said Colin Mckennan-Radler with Brinkmann Constructors. “We had a combined effort with Brinkmann, KB Concrete Systems, and a lot of other companies, especially from RMS Cranes, who graciously volunteered their space to host this event,” said McKennan-Radler. “Not only did we demonstrate new advancements in products, tools, means, and methods, but we also demonstrated how a tilt panel can be designed and built in non-traditional ways with different elements to showcase a piece of art. I want to thank all who participated in making this event happen.”

The demo team put in more than 1,800 man-hours leading up to the event, which created an inviting, innovative, riveting, and, most importantly, memorable moment during the 2022 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo.
