Concrete Strategies, Inc. – Newest TCA Certified Company

CSI

Concrete Strategies, Inc. (CSI) recently became the ninth tilt-up company approved as a Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA)
Certified Contractor. The TCA Company Certification program, which focuses on safety and quality control, is rapidly gaining recognition from the design community and is beginning to be included as a qualification for bidding work.

Concrete Strategies employs over 250 field personnel and completes over $100,000,000 in revenue annually, from its home office in St. Louis, MO. As other TCA Certified companies, CSI has an exemplary safety program with a quality control/quality assurance program to match.

“CSI’s safety program is comprehensive and relevant, but it’s the culture of safety and attention to detail that sets TCA certified companies apart,” said Ed Sauter, TCA staff in charge of certification. “CSI for example, provides an air-conditioned tent to workers in the summer to help reduce the risk of heat stroke.”

Quality control measures were also first class according to Sauter. “A good QA/QC program is important,” said Sauter. “But the evidence that they follow the program is in the consistency of the finished product and from the accolades in the requisite reference letters.”

The TCA program also evaluates company structure, insurance coverage, OSHA metrics and a host of other parameters. This program has accepted 9 firms with several others “in process”. For more information about this program and its participants, contact the Tilt-Up Concrete Association or visit www.tilt-up.org/certification.
