Renewed Optimism

By: Glenn Doncaster | President, Tilt-Up Concrete Association

Spring is here! For most of us, spring brings renewed optimism and opportunity for growing our business. TCA has been busy providing its members with tools for growth.

Jim Baty has recently provided membership with the AIA-approved TCA energy presentation which highlights the energy performance of Tilt-Up buildings. This presentation is a great tool for growing the Tilt-Up market.
Company certification has been rolled out and is now in full swing. Contractor members can now take advantage of the program ensuring quality and performance. Owners and designers can rely on certified contractors to deliver the best of what Tilt-Up offers.
“Engineering Tilt-Up” is now on the bookshelf. It is a comprehensive document on the design of Tilt-Up offering engineers the benefit of some of the most experienced and talented Tilt-Up practitioners.
The Tilt-Up safety guidelines are now published and offer contractors a valuable tool for their safety programs.
A TCA/CRSI joint marketing program is hitting the streets. Members can benefit by teaming up with local CRSI marketing initiatives.

These are only some of the highlights; TCA staff is constantly working to create the opportunity for membership to grow their market. It’s time to fill your tool bag, enjoy the benefits of TCA membership and take advantage of Tilt-Ups growing market.

Speaking of renewal and opportunity this spring, my tenure as TCA president ends officially in June and Kim Corwin’s begins. Kim’s exuberance, skill, and dedication will benefit us all. I thank TCA’s board of directors, staff and, most importantly, membership for their support throughout my experience as TCA President.
