TCA announces its approval by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as a Distance Education provider.

TCA will offer an online program titled “Site Cast Tilt-Up – Solutions for Today’s Architects” for 1.25 Learning Units. The course consists of an hour-long seminar followed by a brief 15-question examination that is automatically scored at the end of the presentation.

Participants in the seminar will explore the current design and construction standards of Tilt-Up concrete construction. The presentation explores the primary methods of construction that allow the design opportunities shown for a variety of project types and program solutions.

“We believe offering Distance Education opportunities will help provide an additional opportunity for members of the architectural community to learn about the Tilt-Up process and benefits of the method,” said Ed Sauter, Executive Director of TCA. “The online component will help reach a greater audience and will be convenient for many architects who want to learn more about the Tilt-Up process.”

Attendees of the online seminar will register for one of the established conference times offered and presented by the TCA directors. Following the seminar, attendees will go through examination questions at their own pace. Upon successful completion of the examination, participants will receive a certificate of completion, and their attendance information will be submitted to AIA.
