The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) \u2013 the global authority for the tilt-up industry \u2013 has announced the winners of the eighth annual safety awards.<\/p>\n
The Alphonse J. Engelman Safety Awards<\/a> Program honors Al Engelman, a TCA past president and board member as well as a long-time supporter of the tilt-up industry. Engelman helped introduce this industry awards program that now bears his name.<\/p>\n Developed to enhance the TCA\u2019s overall mission to improve the industry through recognition and education, this program emphasizes the safety commitment and achievement throughout the membership. In 2007, this program was renamed \u201cThe Alphonse J. Engelman Safety Awards Program.\u201d The winners of the 2013 Alphonse J. Engelman Safety Awards were recognized during TCA\u2019s Annual Convention on Sept. 30 in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n \u201cTCA\u2019s safety committee has been hard at work on several new resources for the industry,\u201d said Barclay Gebel, chair of the TCA Safety Committee. \u201cThese awards help draw attention to the program, our efforts and of course, the success of those making safety their ultimate priority.\u201d<\/p>\n TCA\u2019s Safety Awards Program recognizes companies based on the following categories: Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award, Most Improved Safety Achievement Award, and Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Award. This year\u2019s winners include a variety of industry contractors:<\/p>\n Submissions were accepted from active TCA members only and consisted of self-performing as well as general contracting companies for any of the six categories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
