{"id":2677,"date":"2007-04-01T10:28:48","date_gmt":"2007-04-01T15:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/72.167.124.155\/tilt-uptoday\/?p=2677"},"modified":"2015-06-08T03:37:56","modified_gmt":"2015-06-08T08:37:56","slug":"tca-announces-achievement-awards-for-tilt-up-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tilt-up.org\/tilt-uptoday\/2007\/04\/01\/tca-announces-achievement-awards-for-tilt-up-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"TCA Announces Achievement Awards for Tilt-Up Industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TCA has announced the debut of the Tilt-Up industry\u2019s first Safety Achievement Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Presented at TCA\u2019s Convention, held in Denver Oct. 4-7, the Safety Achievement Awards program was developed to enhance the TCA\u2019s overall Achievement Awards program, providing a new component emphasizing safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main purpose for the Safety Awards is to recognize TCA contractor members for their continuing efforts of creating safer Tilt-Up working environments for their\u00a0employees,\u201d said Ben Saltzman, TCA Membership Communications Director.<\/p>\n<p>TCA divided the awards program into three specific categories:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award:<\/strong> recognizes the firm with the lowest incident rate in 2005. Since there were several firms achieving a zero incident rate, the award was given to the company with the highest number of annual work hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Award:<\/strong> provided to all submitting companies who achieved an incident rate of zero for 2005.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Certificate of Recognition:<\/strong> awarded to all companies whose incident rate fell below the national average for structure contractors, a number that was made available by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the 2006 TCA Safety Awards are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Safety Achievement Award:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clayco Construction\/Concrete Strategies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clayco Construction\/Concrete Strategies<\/li>\n<li>James B.
