Stephan, welcomes visitors to the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, the future home of the 2026 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 10, leaders from across the Intermountain West gathered at the&nbsp;Salt Palace Convention Center&nbsp;to continue shaping the 2026 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo in Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was not the first meeting of the Convention Host Committee, and it will not be the last. But the setting was fitting. Standing inside the building that will welcome the tilt-up community in October 2026, the group focused not on logistics alone, but on intention\u2014what this gathering should represent in the Association\u2019s 40th year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt Lake City is not simply serving as a backdrop for the convention. It is one of the country\u2019s most dynamic tilt-up markets. The Intermountain West has experienced sustained growth across industrial, education, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and mixed-use development sectors. Their role is not ceremonial. It is active and strategic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Current Areas of Focus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As planning continues, the committee is concentrating its efforts in four primary areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regional Engagement and Outreach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Intermountain West continues to attract investment and development at a national scale. The committee is working to cultivate participation across Utah and neighboring states\u2014strengthening relationships within the design, construction, and supply community while expanding awareness of the 2026 gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Planning and Enrichment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 convention will reflect both national relevance and regional character. The committee is advising on educational programming and special event development to ensure that local case studies, emerging market conditions, and innovative project delivery approaches are meaningfully represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Demo Experience Leadership<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A significant point of discussion has been the Demo Experience\u2014an open-format, interactive component of the convention positioned beyond traditional ballroom education. This initiative emphasizes hands-on exploration, large-scale demonstrations, and cross-disciplinary engagement. The Host Committee is helping define its scope and ambition, reinforcing the Association\u2019s commitment to applied knowledge and shared learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Local Flavor and Cultural Integration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt Lake City\u2019s setting\u2014defined by its proximity to the Wasatch Mountains, a rapidly evolving urban core, and a strong sense of civic identity\u2014offers a distinctive backdrop.
