Engelman Safety Awards Program honors Al Engelman, a TCA past president and board member as well as a long-time supporter of the Tilt-Up industry. Engelman helped introduce this industry awards program that now bears his name.<\/p>\n<p>Developed to enhance the TCA\u2019s overall mission to improve the industry through recognition and education, this program emphasizes the safety commitment and achievement throughout the membership. The winners of the 2012 Alphonse J. Engelman Safety Awards were recognized during TCA\u2019s Annual Convention on Oct. 2 in Amelia Island, Fla.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year\u2019s winners exemplify safe work practices on the jobsite, and these awards highlight the results of their efforts,\u201d said Barclay Gebel, chair of the TCA Safety Committee. \u201cThe TCA continues to increase attention and support of the safety process as we look forward to continued growth of our industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TCA\u2019s Safety Awards Program recognizes companies based on the following categories: Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award, Most Improved Safety Achievement Award, Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Award, Certificate of Recognition. This year\u2019s winners included a variety of industry contractors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award\/General Contractors<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10088\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bob Moore Construction, Inc.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10147\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Panatonni Construction, Inc.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10448\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Haskell Company<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award\/Tilt-Up Contractors<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10042\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SiteCast Construction Corp.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10099\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Citadel Contractors, Inc.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10081\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ace\/Avant Concrete Construction Company, Inc.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Most Improved Safety Achievement Award<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10005\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">B.D. Stevens Limited<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zero Lost Time Accident Achievement Award<\/strong>: B.D. Stevens Limited, Citadel Contractors, Inc., Panatonni Construction, Inc., <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">E.E. Reed Construction, L.P.<\/a>, SiteCast Construction Corp., <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AML, Inc.<\/a>, Bob Moore Construction, Inc., <a href=\"http:\/\/tilt-up.org\/members\/member_card.php?id=10181\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Constructors, Inc.<\/a>, Haskell Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These winners were recognized at the 2012 TCA Annual Convention. Submissions were accepted from active TCA members only and consisted of self-performing as well as general contracting companies to any of the six categories.
