The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) \u2013 a non-profit international organization that serves to expand and improve the use of tilt-up as the preferred building system \u2013 has announced the call for entries for the 26th installment of the Tilt-Up Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented at the Tilt-Up Awards Gala, sponsored by Nox-Crete, at the 2016 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo in Denver, Co., Oct. 10, 2016.<\/p>\n

Established by the TCA in 1992, the Tilt-Up Achievement Awards program honors projects that use site-cast tilt-up concrete to introduce new building types, advance industry technology and provide unique solutions to building programs. The winning entries illustrate the variety, beauty and flexibility of the tilt-up construction method.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithin the past several years, inspiring design creativity and amazing feats of construction have pushed the boundaries of this industry,\u201d said Mitch Bloomquist, executive director of the TCA. \u201cToday\u2019s standards expand beyond yesterday\u2019s possibilities and we\u2019ve reached an entire new level of expectations for this year\u2019s Tilt-Up Achievement Awards,\u201d said Bloomquist.<\/p>\n

A panel of seasoned tilt-up professionals representing the fields of architecture, development, education, engineering and construction evaluate each project\u2019s aesthetic appeal, architectural ingenuity and creativity in engineering and construction.<\/p>\n

Industry professionals are encouraged to submit projects for the annual Achievement Awards competition beginning March 18. To qualify for consideration, a member of the team that maintains a current TCA membership must submit projects. All TCA members affiliated with the project will receive recognition.<\/p>\n

The entry deadline for this year\u2019s program is June 1, 2016. To view the program guidelines and criteria and to submit a project, visit www.tilt-up.org\/awards<\/a>. Entries not communicated or received by the entry deadline will be placed into the following year’s program.<\/p>\n
