Since 2006, Mark E. Remmetter P.E., S.E. has been operating the firm as Managing Principal and as a partner to the firm\u2019s founder, Joe Steinbicker who is leaving the firm to devote all of his resources to Tilt-Up Design Systems, LLC which provides software to the tilt-up construction industry.  <\/p>\n<p>Mark Remmetter, who has been with the engineering firm since 1992, has extensive experience in the design of many types of buildings.  Over the past two decades he has designed a variety of buildings, ranging from large international distribution centers and complex retail centers to multistory office buildings, industrial\/manufacturing facilities and parking garages.  He also has experience in the design of precast and tilt-up buildings to resist Department of Defense and GSA progressive collapse requirements.  He has co-authored several published articles related to tilt-up buildings covering topics such as seismic design for tilt-up, multistory tilt-up construction and panel erection.    <\/p>\n<p>The firm plans to make no immediate changes as a result of the name change.  \u201cWe intend to remain at our current location to service the design needs of our local clients.  For our national and international clients, our current email addresses and website will continue to be available even as we transition to a new website at www.MERengineers.com\u201d, says Mark Remmetter.  <\/p>\n<p>MER Engineers will continue to provide a full array of services for the tilt-up industry.  These include panel reinforcing design and tilt-up panel shop drawings as well as panel lifting and erection brace engineering.
