\"Mitch-Bloomquist-2\"The Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) announces the promotion of Mitch Bloomquist<\/a> from Project Manager to Managing Director.<\/p>\n

Bloomquist began his tenure with the TCA in August 2010 when he joined Sauter Baty Associates, the management firm contracted with the Association.<\/p>\n

\u201cMitch joined our partnership to enhance the services we offer TCA members and has been an invaluable addition to our partnership,\u201d states Ed Sauter, TCA Executive Director.\u00a0 \u201cHe has quickly integrated his branding, visual arts and project management skills to the benefit of our membership, as well as applied his architectural background to the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Previously with the Novak Design Group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bloomquist has taken on the responsibility of the TCA\u2019s Annual Convention<\/a> and for the evolution of both TCA\u2019s primary brands, the website, and TILT-UP TODAY magazine.<\/p>\n

\u201cTCA enjoys an extremely strong brand recognized on a global scale thanks to Mitch,\u201d states Jim Baty, TCA\u2019s Technical Director and partner at Sauter Baty Associates. \u201cIt has been an exciting transition to see the TCA products that Mitch has steered to success, evolving a stronger position for this industry and for our members.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe impact Mitch has had on the TCA goes well beyond the magazine and the website,\u201d states Sauter.\u00a0 \u201cHe has been able to dedicate his focus to the production of our trilogy of state-of-the-art resources<\/a> along with the variety of authors, and he has infused great change to our Convention beginning with the Kansas City event of 2011, which led the development of the Korean War Memorial<\/a>.\u00a0 Today, we are able to deliver initiatives with much greater focus and depth in large part due to his dedication and skills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baty added that the promotion to Managing Director further strengthens the commitment to the Association from Sauter Baty Associates by creating a position of management focus and responsibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue the development of dedicated staff and the potential for this Association to enhance and expand the quality service and leadership that Ed has been delivering for the past 21 years,\u201d said Baty.<\/p>\n

Sauter remains as Executive Director, with responsibilities for general oversight, financial and strategic planning. Bloomquist will manage day-to-day operations of the Association<\/p>\n
