Developed under ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) leadership, the standard establishes a unified framework for greenhouse gas accounting across all building systems and materials, including structural systems such as tilt-up concrete.\n\n\n\n\n\nSection 6.6.1 specifically reinforces the importance of verifiable data in biogenic carbon accounting. TCA supports the position that favorable carbon treatment (such as the +\/- methodology) must be tied to third-party certification of sustainable sourcing, rather than assumed based on national trends.
