Digital M1

Project summary provided by submitting company.

Digital Loudoun Building M1 is a 105,000 SF two-level data center located in Ashburn, Virginia. The building consists of an exterior tilt-up wall panel system with a structural steel interior. The tilt-up panels average 62’-0” in height and were cast with a formliner and reveal pattern along the main entrance of the building. The building pad was left low and had to be built up 3’-0” to put in the slab on grade for panel casting. There was a great deal of coordination with other trades to get multiple ductbanks and other work installed in order for the slab on grade to get installed for panels. The interior slabs were also designed as a polished final finish so panel casting had to be coordinated with slab breaks to insure minimal damage to the final product. In the end the schedule dates were achieved and the client was happy with the final product.

Footings began in April 2018 and panel erection occurred in June of 2018. Slab on metal deck was poured out in late August and the project was turned over for interior fit out in September of 2018.
