Company Profile

The Reed family of companies began with the flagship company, E.E. Reed Construction Company, in 1977. Founder, E.E. “Gene” Reed, grew up in Houston and was educated at The University of Texas. After 17 years in the construction business, Gene started his own company. Today, the Reed family of companies is comprised of four entities operating from coast to coast. E.E. Reed Construction, L.P. is headquartered in Sugar Land and serves the southwest, with additional operations in the Washington D.C. area, Zapalac/Reed Construction Co., L.P., services Austin, and Davis/Reed Construction, Inc. is the newest of The Reed Companies. With an emphasis in the hospitality market, Davis/Reed serves the western states and is based in San Diego, California.
