As a Principal with ARCHITECTS hanna gabriel wells, Sean Chen has over 20 years of architectural experience leading the design of award-winning higher education, healthcare, commercial office, and public sector buildings. Mr. Chen was instrumental in the formation of the U S Green Building Council’s San Diego Chapter as a founding member. He has designed multiple LEED Certified buildings including Platinum rated Energy Innovation Center and Gold rated Spanos Athletic Performance Center. He has a passion for tectonics in architecture, and often looks for creative ways to implement tried-and-true construction techniques.

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction - one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. Over 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
