This presentation will cover the fundamentals of internal curing (IC) and show how and why it works along with several case studies. The IC process is simple and will be covered so that owners, designers, contractors, finishers and ready-mix suppliers will have the required information to specify and use IC concrete with confidence. The many benefits of internally cured concrete will be covered:
- Improved workability and finish-ability (less sticky)
- Enhanced jobsite curing and improved cement hydration
- Increased strength and durability
- Less shrinkage and early-age cracking (fewer & smaller cracks)
