Our growing Madison-based company has a full-time opportunity for a detail-oriented professional PROJECT MANAGER with a demonstrated sense of urgency, proven multi-tasking abilities, and a positive attitude. This is a fast-paced position and requires excellent communication and problem solving skills. The successful applicant will be a team player with elevated leadership skills. This is a salary position with full benefit package and the perks of working for a family business.

Job Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible for the safe completion of the project within budget, and on schedule to the customer’s satisfaction in accordance with the contract documents. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Pre-job planning, scheduling, and mobilization
  • Subcontractor and material purchasing and change orders
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage project schedule
  • Customer change requests and change orders
  • Progress payments to customer
  • Weekly job meetings with customer
  • Project closeout

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • Field experience as a Project Manager preferred
  • Knowledge of building processes preferred. Technical and professional training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills with people at all levels
  • Collaborates well with Superintendent
  • Leadership and decision making skills, ensure that all work is completed per the contract documents
  • Problem solving skills and creative thinking, the ability to think outside the box to find solutions to problems
  • Detail minded while keeping the big picture of the project in mind
  • Reliable, demonstrated by the ability to meet cost and schedule commitments
  • Organizational skills must be used to streamline construction processes
  • Team player must have the ability to work as a team with a positive attitude
  • Software experience: Microsoft Office, especially Excel                 
  • Ability to multi task and a carry out tasks with a sense of urgency
  • 50% of time is to be spent on jobsite
