Duration: 46 minutes
Because of the casting and erection process of tilt-up construction, surface irregularities and aesthetic imperfections in the exposed surfaces are common. These conditions include spalls, gouges, cracks, dents, chips, bug holes and honeycombs. Such imperfections may occur on exterior or interior vertical surfaces and frequently require surface preparation before applying a paint or coating. In this session, we will discuss today’s engineered cement technologies that offer self-drying compounds that harden quickly via hydration and create tougher, more durable surfaces, while allowing for maximum working time.
