The 2020 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo is Going Virtual, but will Remain Human.

The Aggregate

We’re looking forward to welcoming you not in the same way, but with the same professionalism, energy, authenticity and gusto that you’ve come to expect. We’re doing so with the support of generous and enthusiastic sponsors and exhibitors, talented and collaborative presenters, and leadership dedicated to advancing this association and industry through this time to be stronger than ever on the other side.

“The TCA convention is the most important event out there for tilt-up professionals. The knowledge gained and connections made are priceless.” Mike Wolstenholme Director of Tilt-Up, Meadow Burke

OCTOBER 5 – 9

Check out the daily schedule online for session information, speaker bios and more! This year’s event is complete with live education, networking, virtual tours, on-demand content, demonstrations, awards and exhibits.

TRULY VIRTUAL

TCA has partnered with Event Farm and VirBELA to create The Aggregate, a revolutionary, virtual events experience for the tilt-up industry. By combining avatars and a virtual venue with event engagement technology, we’re offering a social engagement and communication experience that transforms everyday, physical events into unforgettable virtual networking and learning experiences. The virtual world environment is designed to promote social interaction and collaboration among participants from across the globe.

AVATAR BASED PLATFORM

Fancy your avatar to your liking and prepare for a revolutionary, virtual events experience. Upon entering the virtual realm you will have the opportunity to customize your avatar’s features, clothing and accessories. Don’t worry though, its very quick and easy and you can change your avatar at any time.

REMOTE, BUT TOGETHER

For this year, forget the plane flight and hotel stay but still count on showing up. This won’t be the typical zoom meeting you hate to attend and can easily space out on. Instead of video chat tiles that remind everyone that they are in separate places, avatars in VirBELA feel together in the same environment. Your avatars can interact via voice chat, text chat, or playful animations. In this 3D environment, events have a real sense of space that helps attendees interact naturally and effectively. Doing things like breaking into small groups for a private conversation is as easy as it is in physical space.

Going Virtual, Staying Human

This troubling situation is temporary. That being said, we may only have one opportunity to do something together in response. We have one chance to mark this historic moment with who we are as an organization and industry. Let’s make the most of it today while looking forward to being together again in person next year.

Most of your favorite components of the event are still on and we can’t wait to welcome you.

EDUCATION

The 2020 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo is the premier gathering of the global tilt-up industry. As always, this year’s event is designed to provide attendees with valuable education that can be applied directly to their next tilt-up job. Post-event surveys show 92% of attendees estimate they will save their company or clients at least $2,000 on their next project as a direct result of their attendance. 35% of respondents say they will save at least $5,000 and 17% say they will save more than $10,000 on their next project alone. Most importantly, well over 90% of attendees say they learned something at convention that will make their jobsite, or that of their client, safer.

TOURS

Join us during the 2020 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo for a series of virtual job site tours. Each tour will present a behind the scenes look at a tilt-up project job site. A mix of 3D 180, 360 and HD video will be used to provide great access to constructions sites at varying stages.

While it may not be the Georgia Aquarium, and we will have to wait until next fall to gather at the St. Louis Arch, the tilt-up industry’s best and brightest will celebrate their achievements this year beachside complete with live music, fireworks and networking. Well… their avatars will. Either way, it’s going to be a fun and inspiring night.

AWARDS GALA

In addition to the awards gala presentation, attendees will be able to check out this year’s top projects in the expo hall.

The 2020 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo brings together the leading suppliers and manufacturers in today’s tilt-up industry. The innovation that comes from TCA’s exhibiting companies is unparalleled, and plays a vital role in the industry’s design capabilities, technological advancements and simplified processes that are used today.

See who’s exhibiting by visiting the event website at www.tilt-up.org/events.

TILT-UP 101

Convention 2020 will again feature a series of seminars and events covering the basics of the tilt-up building system. The workshop will provide those contractors and design professionals unfamiliar with system, or those looking to firm up their comprehension, an in-depth base of knowledge to build upon.

Tilt-Up 101 will also serve as a preparatory course for those seeking ACI/TCA Tilt-Up Supervisor Certification.

NETWORKING

Participation in this important industry event ensures effective utilization of the greatest, and most diverse network of tilt-up professionals on the planet. The connections made between attendees prove to be very beneficial. Post-event surveys conclude that 67% of participants make new connections that will help them grow professionally, 60% make new connections that their company or firm may collaborate with on future projects, and 73% make connections that could help troubleshoot issues on their next project.
