TCA Sustaining Member Spotlight: Alston Construction Company

7-2013-06-_O5Q8282

For more than 25 years, Alston Construction Company’s (formerly Panattoni Construction) overall goal has been to provide quality, cost-efficient projects that leave a positive experience for our clients.

To say we’ve built it before may be factual, but it’s not why our clients choose us. Many construction companies offer a diverse background of general contracting, construction management and design-build experience spanning nearly any industry. Most will also tout their tens of millions of square-feet of new construction work completed each year. Others will list their most recognizable clients as reasons for your business. We could do that too, but we’d rather talk about why we’ve been successful, not what we’ve done for others.

We believe the success of any project depends upon a strong builder-client relationship and a commitment to establishing common goals and objectives from the start. We are proud to perform work for owners with whom we have developed lasting relationships. That’s why roughly 80% of our work is from repeat clients. Our network of offices allows us to provide clients with the best building methods and materials available, and to do so at a competitive price.

Our construction technique, which includes more than 50% of our projects being built, utilizing the tilt-up method, has won numerous honors and safety awards. Those awards include Tilt-Up Concrete Association, ENR, DBIA, AGC and Modern Healthcare Magazine construction honors.

As one of the largest industrial contractors in the country, Alston Construction uses tilt-up construction as it provides numerous advantages when building warehouse/distribution centers and manufacturing facilities. Because of its diversity, Alston Construction utilizes tilt-up construction in other verticals we build in, such as office, retail and medical office buildings. As contractors who consider ourselves “creative tilt-up builders,” we can utilize tilt-up to achieve pretty much any results in regards to architectural aesthetics and innovation that our clients are looking for in their project. Also, this method is well suited to complete a compressed schedule and allows for numerous trades to overlap during construction.

Alston Construction is proud of its more than 14-year history with the TCA, and its benefits to the construction community.
