TCA Elects New Board of Directors

TCA has announced the election of new board members and the slate of officers for the 2006 year.

Laurence Smith, partner and director at J.W. Lindsay Enterprise, Ltd. (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) was elected president of the TCA Board at it annual meeting on Jan. 19. Smith has been a member of the Tilt-Up construction industry for more than five years and is a registered engineer who is licensed to practice in all three Maritime Provinces.

Smith said it is a great honor to serve as president of the TCA Board during its 20th anniversary year.

Other officers re-elected to the Board for 2006 are:

  • Bob Truitt of Don de Cristo Concrete Accessories, Inc. (Westminster, Calif.) will serve as secretary
  • Clay Fischer of Woodland Construction Company (Jupiter, Fla.)
  • Roy Edgar of Dayton/Richmond Corporation (Miamisburg, Ohio)
  • Dave Kelly of Meadow Burke (Sacramento, CA)
  • Joe Steinbicker of Steinbicker & Associates Inc. (Dayton, Ohio)

Those continuing service on the Board are:

  • David Tomasula of CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems (Dayton, Ohio) will serve as president-elect
  • Alan Wilson of The Haskell Company (Jacksonville, Fla.) will serve as vice president
  • Glenn Doncaster of Citadel Contractors, Inc. (Raleigh, N.C.) will serve as treasurer
  • Al Engelman of Engelman Construction, Inc. (Macungie, Pa.) will serve as past-president
  • Jim MacKinnon of Saunders Construction, Inc. (Englewood, Colo.)
  • Shawn Hickey of SiteCast Construction Corp. (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada)
  • Glen Stephens of Stephens Architectural Associates, Inc. (Laurel, Md. and Charlotte, N.C.)
  • Phil Kopf of The Kopf Consulting Group, Inc. (Marietta, Ga.)
  • Jimmie Ballard of Shepler’s (Conroe, Texas)
