Your Association has just turned 20 years old and plans to celebrate all year long. And why not?! This very publication is a testament to what dedicated members add to our industry. The featured projects are prime examples of the current state of our art from across the country and around the world. I am truly amazed by the creativity of designers and builders alike as the envelope stretches and stretches until it bursts into the next generation.

Just a few years ago, this magazine was a mere newsletter in black and white and now it is a vibrant colorful sales tool that never fails to impress. It pays for itself time and time again. Potential customers get enthused when they see the current trends in our form of construction. Finishes, shapes and materials are changing so fast that this magazine seems to be the catalogue for new products that keep builders on the cutting-edge.

In 1986, not many of us would predict that there would be this thing called the Internet that at a touch of a keyboard button would bring so much information at lightning speed. www.tilt-up.org is a tremendous tool that members have at their disposal. How many times has a customer asked if a particular type of building has been constructed from Tilt-Up? Well, in most cases, it’s been done and there is a picture on the website. One upcoming project for the TCA is to construct a database on the web as a member benefit and terrific sales tool. Visit www.tilt-up.org regularly as it is loaded with information that will keep you abreast of what the TCA is doing for its members and the industry.

Undoubtedly, Tilt-Up construction will evolve over the next 20 years with advancements in materials and techniques fueled by enthusiastic contributors to our unique building system. Sounds like a membership drive to me.
