ATEX Manufacturing

This 52,000 square foot project, constructed in 150 days for a cost of $10.96 per square foot, is interesting due to its aesthetic mix of reveal, formliner, columns and glazing. Ten 25-foot tall cast-in-place columns provide an appealing look, especially combined with the Tilt-Up spandrel panels. Extensive glasswork at the main entrance also provides an excellent focal point for the Tilt-Up panels.

Due to the trench and equipment requirements of the manufacturing facility, there was limited casting area on the floor slab so exterior casting beds were utilized. Panels were erected from the exterior of the building utilizing a 160-ton crane, with the heaviest panel weighing more than 75,000 lbs. and the tallest measuring almost 42 feet high.

Dayton-Richmond accessories were utilized.
