S.B. Ballard Construction Company

The construction method employed by a contractor for their own office and warehouse space certainly speaks loudly to the marketplace. As such, Tilt-Up was the only consideration for concrete contractor, S.B. Ballard Construction Co. of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Beyond the well-known attributes of speed, aesthetics and economy, S.B. Ballard selected Tilt-Up to alleviate noise from the nearby Naval Air Station as the flight pattern of the jets are within 250-feet of the 27,000-square-foot building's roof.

This atypical box employs a two-story curved glass entrance and aluminum fin designed to add both texture and contrast to building's mass. Office wall panels are clipped short at the building corners to allow for full glass expression, providing contrast and a stronger presentation of the brick inlay panels.
