Tilt-Up Future Think

June 2, 2017 - 8am to 12pm

In a business climate where everyone is being asked to do more with less, today's design and construction professionals have little time to devote to research of emerging technologies and the future of their industry. As such, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) Board of Director's has established a task force to curate and review emerging technologies with potential benefit or impact on the tilt-up industry.

Along with TCA manager of regulatory and technical affairs, Jim Baty, FACI, the task group has assembled several technologies to be presented at an upcoming event. As an innovation leader in the industry, your attendance is welcomed and encouraged.

Tilt-Up Future Think, to be held in Dallas, TX on June 2, 2017 will present a series of talks focused on emerging technologies and ideas with promising applicability for the tilt-up concrete construction industry. The talks will be followed by a panel discussion where global experts in tilt-up design, engineering and construction will discuss the potential of each idea and how it could shape tilt-up of the future.

The event is designed as a focused review of these technologies. The panel's thoughts on each technology will be published and will serve to inform the limited research dedicated resources of our members.

About the TCA

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
