The Tilt-Up Concrete Association in collaboration with the Atlantic Concrete Association is offering the ACI/TCA Tilt-Up Supervisor and Technician Certification Exam and preparatory seminar on November 30 in Halifax, NS.

TILT-UP SUPERVISOR AND TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION SEMINAR  9:00 - 12:00 pm
This seminar will present the topics and information necessary for candidates sitting for the Tilt-Up Supervisor Certification Exam. The seminar will also present an overview of the tilt-up construction process and explain the certification program and its requirements. 

TILT-UP SUPERVISOR AND TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION EXAM  2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The exam is closed book and candidates will have two hours to complete the exam.

Tilt-Up Supervisor and Technician Reference/Study Guide: The Construction of Tilt-Up

The Construction of Tilt-Up, in its second edition is a completely new, bilingual volume of information that contractors (or any professional) can use to become well acquainted with the planning, process and strategies of building with this method. This new version offers much new content including the important study references that have been included for years to prepare tilt-up professionals to pass the ACI/TCA Tilt-Up Certification.

Tilt-Up Supervisor - A person who has demonstrated proficiency in and an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination and meeting work experience requirements.

Tilt-Up Technician - A person who has an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a tilt-up supervisor.

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment.
