Paul Zilio

Senior Principal at Bliss and Nyitray, Inc.

Paul ZilioPaul Zilio graduated from the University of Michigan in 1981. He began work with a major General Contractor and became a Certified General Contractor. He joined the structural engineering firm of Bliss & Nyitray in 1986 and has done virtually every phase of projects, including structural analysis, design and detailing; construction administration; and inspection.

Mr. Zilio’s extensive construction and design background helps him to design buildings that achieve the architect’s aesthetics while staying within the owner’s schedule and budget. He has designed numerous tilt-up buildings, starting 20 years ago with Dolphin Mall and Bass Pro Shops.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Special Inspector for Threshold Buildings, and is currently a Senior Principal and Partner in the firm.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in the City of Doral, Florida broke ground on its construction in January of 2015. About the TCA

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
