Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in the City of Doral, Florida broke ground on its construction in January of 2015. This Design-Build endeavor led by MCM, Floridian GC, was designed by Jose Murguido, AIA of Zyscovich Architects, and represents the first Guadalupe’s Church and Parish in Doral, Florida, a regional hub for business with a highly-diverse community of Latin American émigrés.

Attendees will have had the chance to visit this impressive tilt-up project during the buildings tour and during this talk the project team will dive deeper into the complexities and challenges of its realization..

Denise SantiagoDenise Santiago joined Builders Plus in 1997. She has held several positions since then, from Office Manager to her role today as Chief Operating Officer. She has a Master's Degree in Construction Management from Florida Atlantic. Read more...

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
