2016 TCA Convention

Why Certify?

Presenter: Ed Sauter, Certification Programs Manager for the Tilt-Up Concrete Association
Date and time: Wednesday, October 12 - 9:30a to 10:00a

Change is coming to our industry. Local governments, developers, and owners are demanding greater accountability from contractors who build their structures. Certification is one way building owners can have a greater degree of confidence that their contractors have the qualifications and experience necessary to deliver.

The TCA participates in two certification programs: the American Concrete Institute (ACI) administered Tilt-Up Superintendent Certification; and, the TCA’s Company Certification Program. This seminar will introduce attendees to the new reference guide for the individual certification program and cover alternative recertification options.

The seminar will also detail the requirements needed for your company to become part of the rapidly growing TCA Company Certification Program.

About the TCA

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
