Paul Coonrod serves as Managing Director of Stream Realty’s Houston office team and is a Partner in the firm's Houston office.  Paul is responsible for developing the platform’s principal service initiatives; expanding Stream’s leasing portfolio and the origination of key joint-venture relationships through development and acquisitions partnerships. Under Paul’s leadership, the office group has grown to one of the most active office developers in the city as well as one of the largest service platforms.

Over the past six years, Paul has capitalized multiple developments totaling approximately 1.5 million square feet of class A office space with a valuation of over $600 million.  Many of these are tilt wall construction utilizing advanced techniques to construct five and six story office buildings.  In addition, he has closed over 4.0 million square feet of lease transactions with a total value of over $1 billion.

Prior to joining Stream Realty Partners, Paul was a fixed income broker for Cantor Fitzgerald in Hong Kong trading high yield bonds for the most prominent investment firms in Asia.

Paul Coonrod will highlight the growing acceptance of tilt-up for office projects by institutions and major corporations. Coonrod will discuss financing complexities post recession and the impact they have on a developers chosen method of construction.

About the TCA

Founded in 1986, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) strives to improve the quality and acceptance of site-cast Tilt-Up construction, a method in which concrete wall panels are cast on-site and tilted into place. Tilt-Up construction is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, combining the advantages of reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction and minimal capital investment. At least 10,000 buildings, enclosing more than 650 million square feet, are constructed each year using this construction method.
